8-15 / 8-21 Training

Last big week before SB Tri. I have a couple more solid days and then it starts to taper off and I begin to rest up.

16 Hours 24 Minutes Total….

Swim 9,800 yards

Bike 134 Miles

Run 45 Miles

Run volume is higher yet again this week. So happy to finally get my standard run up to 50 minutes. Did a small duathlon with Conejo Valley Tri Club this week and was really happy with my run. I kept it at a tempo pace and it was still solid. I’m excited to see what I can do at Santa Barbara. Last year, the run was by far my worst discipline….what else is new. Hopefully this year, it won’t keep me back too much. I also did my long ride today on my Shiv. I usually do them on my road bike but I wanted to do it on the TT bike to make sure I was super comfy for SB. I have been tweaking the position since I got the bike and I am happy to announce that I have it dialed. This is such a relief and couldn’t have come at a better time. Ready to race!
