Injury Update

A few posts back I talked about an abdominal injury I sustained from running.  Well, it’s been getting better with time and less running. I was supposed to race the LA 13.1 tomorrow but my coach Brian Stover pulled the plug. I need to get completely better and doing these early season races is not the way to do that. I have been working on this injury and actually did back off the running for the last few weeks but I guess it’s time to take a week off.

So, no running for the next week while I get this annoyance under control. I’ll be doing some power testing tomorrow and then it will be all swim and bike over the next week. I might even give water running a try. I get my first schedule from Brian tomorrow and I’m excited to see what it entails.

I really hope this short amount of time off helps and I don’t need to take more time off down the road. Keeping my fingers crossed!
